PNG - 308.3 kb K-124 Days has an unmissable event in the international trials calendar for a decade now. This out-of-circuit international competition, organised by K-124 Alain Rémy’s BTFC, is a real festival of trials. This exceptionally intense event also serves as a kind of ‘laboratory’ for the section setters to experiment with obstacles and difficulty levels, pushing the limits of modern competition trials further and further each year. It take place over two rounds and the world’s best riders gather together to test themselves on the extreme sections after a hard winter training. The top riders battle it out on the Super Elite sections (the first of their kind), which push them to their very last reserves of energy and skill, guaranteeing an incredible spectacle for the rest of us, and giving the international season the opening round that it deserves. But this competition is different all the others, in that it is aimed at a bigger number of riders; alongside the UCI format competition, there are categories covering all levels of ability that are run to BIU rules. The two international federations, that of today’s world champions and that of the champions of tomorrow, are united for one weekend. Peace & Trial... everyone gets along, with the younger riders rubbing shoulders with the top UCI riders. But the mission statement for the section setters is the same for these lower categories as it is for the elites: to confront the riders with something that they’ve not seen before, to bring them out of the comfort zone of regional competition and up to an international level. JPEG - 873.8 kb And boy, do they know how to do that at the Tour de Scay! The BTFC have organised several rounds of the BIU World Championships, with the latest in 2008, and riders come from all over Europe to try out their sections. The 2011 edition of K-124 Days reached new highs and saw Gilles Coustellier romp to the win ahead of Vincent Hermance and Benito Ros (K-124 Days 2011 Results, K-124 Days 2011 - Day 1 & K-124 Days 2011 – Day 2).

For 2012, the K-124 have decided to add a new dimension to their legendary event, which will now take place over not one, but two weekends, with a first round at the Tour de Scay on Easter Weekend and a second at the new BikePark in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse on the weekend of 29 and 30 September. K-124 Days will therefore open and close this year’s international season, with the last round taking place the weekend after the World Championships! 2012 is going to be one crazy year for the world’s comp riders!

Hello,

This year, K-124 Days will be following a new formula: 2012 will see two rounds of the festival, the first at the Tour de Scay on the 7th and 8th April on Alain Rémy’s famous sections in Doubs. The second will take place at the BikePark in Saint Pierre de Chartreuse, Isère, on the 29th and 30th December.

Here is the programme of K-124 Days Round 1 at the Tour de Scay.

This year, the competition will be bigger than ever, with even more of a spectacle for the riders to take part in, with a “Dual Trial” and a “Style Trial” that will be open to everyone, with riders performing in front of our team of judges (members of the Koxx Team) who will be looking for fluidity, style and lines.

Of course, there will be the usual demos and Pizza and Pasta Parties as well!

We hope to see a lot of you there!
