Your trials information site is still developing and things have sped up over recent months. We sometimes – we admit – have trouble keeping up with the pace of it all! The site now has more than our previous record of 5,000 connections and 1,000 visitors a day! 5,000 connections a day, that’s as many as the planet’s biggest trials forums Observed Trials and Trials Forum! We get more and more emails as well, our inbox is nearly always full! We thought that we’d reached our ‘terminal velocity’, but you just keep coming! More than 1,500 riders come to follow the action and to see the trials videos and photos that we put up, which takes us up to 7,000 connections a day (statistics courtesy of Statbrain.com), making us the World’s N°1 trials site! Huge thanks to all of you who keep coming back! This success has pushed us even further, and over the coming months we intend to cement some new projects that will help to further develop the site and promote our sport, giving it the recognition that it deserves. Another big thanks goes to those trials fanatics who work each day on the writing and translating of articles, those who send us their photos, videos and news from all four corners of the World (France, England, Germany, Australia, China and more!) and to the partners and sponsors who have supported us over the years. We won’t list everybody, that would take too long and we’d probably forget a lot of people, but you all know who you are! Thank you!
Trial Magazine, the only magazine to really talk about biketrials these days, have been in a partnership with Tribal Zine for over a year now. Since the departure of Franck Chastel, who left to start Trial Inside, bicycles have all but disappeared from its pages. But they are making a comeback in issue 43, which will be available in France from Tuesday and which subscribers will already have received. You will notice in the contents a group test of four top-of-the-range trials bikes that have emerged over the last few months: the Koxx Black Sky, the Ozonys Cannibal Black Light, the Rockman Slate and theTMS Evo 3!
A group test carried out by… the Tribal Zine team! Writers Jébegood and Laurent Grillon teamed up with NIU European Champion Thomas Francisco and mechanic Grégory Soignon to give you the lowdown on these four beautiful bikes. That’s right, Tribal Zine decided to step in so that the N°1 trials magazine could continue to talk bicycles, and we started in style with this ambitious test! What can we tell you about it to whet your appetites? That it took place at the mythical trials heaven, the base de loisirs de Buthiers; that Tom pushed each bike to its limits on the challenging elite sections, pulling enormous moves to really put the bikes through their paces; that we worked hard to provide a relevant and objective test; that the French online market leaders, Koxx/K-124 House, Ozonys/Spherebike, TMS Shop & Trialprod, gave us some bikes that were truly top-of-the-range, right down to the last detail, and that we had a lot of fun carrying out the largest crash test that we’ve ever done, giving rise to the title: ‘26” of happiness’! A lot of work and passion went into this test, hours and hours of riding and a few sleepless nights working on the article, so get down to the Newsagent (if you happen to be in France – here’s a list of vendors)! And that’s only the beginning! We are working on a few more surprises for the next issue! Huge thanks to Charles Benhamou and the whole Trial Mag team for putting their confidence in us and letting us have carte blanche for the bicycle side of the magazine! Look out for a poster of Kenny Belaey in New Zealand – a magnificent action shot that wouldn’t look out of place framed on your living room wall!
