PNG - 277.1 kb The Ozonys Curves, which have been tested throughout this season all over the world by top riders Guillaume Dunand, Bruno Arnold, Théau Courtès and Pablo Bravo, arrived in France a few days ago! In case you’d forgotten, here’s a little reminder of the features of this new bike at the very top of the Ozonys range... They have a number of CNC’d pieces, the headtubes and bottom brackets have been lightened, the tube thicknesses have been calculated to optimise strength and weight, and they have a CNC booster as featured on the Cannibal. The 26 also has an adjustable geometry and the new Ozonys chain tensioner fixed to teh chainstay, giving optimum tension and protection. Like the Cannibals, the Curves have a super-classy paint job (blue for the 26" and red for the 20"), giving them a factory look that will make you want to get out and devour section after section! But what sets the Curve apart from the Cannibal and from the rest of the current market? The curved form from which it takes its name and which is no mere exercise in style! The two main tubes join to form a single tube at the front end, effectively making it a moncoque frame! The main tube is in fact made up of two tubes, with a section that has been laser-cut off. If you were to see a cross-section it would look like a figure of eight, although with no material in the middle. This shape optimises the stiffness and weight of the front end. We’ll find out tomorrow when we have a go! More info soon...

PNG - 363.1 kb The official inauguration of the Curves took place this Saturday at Buthiers. The Tribal Zine staff were not far away, testing some bikes just a stone’s throw away. We went over to have a look at the new bikes in the afternoon... and we liked what we saw! The Curve 26 has been developed further and is now basically a monocoque frame, which gives it an incredible stiffness and a very unusual look. The 2010 Ozonys range is definitely a success - it is wide, varied, classy and consistently good! Bruno Arnold, the boss, showed us a few moves, even though they’d been riding all day and were all knackered and ready to go home! You may already have seen the photo of Bruno’s bike that we published that night to show you the new shape of the frame. Now here are some more. Proper photos coming soon!
