The BIU World Championship returns to France this summer, for what is sure to be an unforgettable opening round. The Bike Tarn Sud club, who were responsible for the brilliant opening round of the 2011 European Cup, will launch the series in style this week-end at their magnificent site in Saïx, with the next rounds being held in Catalonia and Italy. No less than 14 nations will be represented at the French round, with some 131 riders taking part (see the list of registered riders on the Eurobiketrial site). The Group B categories (Femina and Poussin to Minime) will compete on the Saturday over two laps of ten sections, while Group A (Junior to Elite) will compete on the Sunday, riding two laps of 14 sections. The opening ceremony will be celebrated by all categories and spectators on the Saturday nigh, with various activities over the course of the evening to guarantee a party atmosphere: Live concerts, dirt demo, MTB hire, pedalos, horse riding, sailing, BMX, inflatable games, a gastro-market, etc. Camping is free for all participants from Monday 15th July (08:00) until Wednesday 25th July (08:00).
