Interzones is an online shop that sells 100% trials clothing. They opened just before Christmas and have a range of impressive clothes aimed at the moto, unicycle and bike markets. There’s something for everyone, from T-shirts and hats to jackets and sweaters, and the graphics are sweet. This online shop is the work of Nicolas Manière from Cahors, a trials fanatic who often contributes to Tribal Zine.
Nico’ decided to put together a team to promote Interzones’ creations and his first recruit is young comp rider Ulysse Fontenay, a young (16!) Atomz rider from Turenne dans le Lot, near Brive, who we brought to your attention last year in our article Ulysse Fontenay, a promising rider. This year, Ullyse has made a big impression in the south of France and in the Rhône-Alpes region: he won the Montauban Masters 2009 in the Confirmé category, the second round of the Trophée Pyrénéen 2009 in Promotion category, and the Labège 2009 Friendly Trial in Intermediate.
Ulysse tells us a bit about his objectives for 2010 and about how it feels to be the first member of the Interzones team…
I’m very happy to have joined the Interzones Team for the 2010 season and I’m going to do my best to promote the brand through my competitions and shows.
I’m going to enter as many competitions as I can this season: the Trophée Pyrénéen, the Midi-Pyrénées Championship, the French Cup, the French Championship etc. At most of these competitions my Dad and Nciolas Marsac ("Hightlevel" on the EspaceTrial forum) will be following me round and coaching me.
I’ll also be taking part in about a dozen demos in France this year which will help me to further promote Interzones.
I’d like to thank InterZones for accepting me onto their team, it’s a real honour and I’m proud to be the first Interzones rider”
