A decent pair of forged cranks is one of the most important ingredients for a respectable top-of-the-range bike, especially if it’s to be used in competition. They save around 100g and give a better transfer of force thanks to the improved rigidity over ‘classic’ cranks.
Last month we presented The new Rockarm cranks from Singapore brand Rockman. Forged from 7075 Aluminium, they were exceptionally light and enter into direct competition with the Try-All forged cranks, which according to K-124 weigh in at just 415g! Our partenaire Sphèrebike have just added the Neon CNC machined 7075 T6 Alu cranks to their catalogue, available in 162.5mm and 172.5mm lengths and in aluminium or anodised black. These superb cranks, which are spec’d on the production Ozonys Cannibals, are feather light at just 428g for the 172.5mm model! Designed with competition riding in mind, these cranks are available at the very competitive price of €115. Photos :
