Kiss Roland is a young Romanian rider who we have been following with interest. At just 18 years old he is one of Romania’s most promising riders. He won the Junior Romanian Championship in 2006 and has been adding national victories to his collection ever since. This season, unfortunately, there was no national championship, but there have been a few trials competitions in various cities around the country. Kiss has won four out of six of them, including the Britista Indoor and the Era contest in Oradea.
Kiss recently joined the TMS-Bikevision team and Thibaut Marriaux sent us some cool photos of his new recruit. After that we showed you a video of Kiss on his TMS Evo 3, with some great slow-mo shots. Not long after that, we presented his blog, with some new photos of his bike and his latest comp appearances. He also gave us his impressions on the bike, which is designed with UCI riding in mind... “I really like front wheel moves and the head angle of the bike, combined with the rake of the fork make gaps to front a lot easier. The high BB and short stays mean that it’s nice and flicky on the back wheel too”.
At the end of last week we showed you a series of street photos that were taken last month. Now here’s a new video, filmed at the same indoor spot as the last one, where Kiss trains regularly. The young Romanian rider is still progressing and you can really see the improvement in his riding, notably in the height and precision of his moves…
