Kevin Liu is a 23 year old street rider from Vancouver. He made a name for himself with a series of videos that were incredibly successful on the world wide trials web. He has been riding for six years, mainly on street, with a very UCI style – precise and agile. When we asked him about his style and if he ever competed, he told us “I don’t think I could call myself a competitor, even if that is the style that I ride. No, I don’t enter enough big competitions to call myself a competition rider.” (Kevin Liu à Vancouver).
Kevin is now riding for Singapore trials company Rockman Bikes. Having tested the Slatefor several months, he has chosen to ride the Kortz, a surprising choice given the size of him – he’s more Caisso than Hermance! But this bike, with its long and high geometry seems to suit his style perfectly, as you can see in the video below, filmed a couple of weeks ago in less than half an hour at 6:30 in the morning! W asked him about his new bike and here’s what he had to say:
“I did think that it might be too long as I’m only 1.68m tall. On my first ride I was surprised by how much more comfortable it was than my Slate! It feels like a mich shorter bike, maybe because I’m running Koxx Forxx instead of the ViZ Lites”.
Enjoy!
