Nicolas Atgé, a unicycle trials rider from Alsace, who is introduced further down this page, has sent us a magnificent two-part video, which is almost 20 minutes long, which plunges you into the very heart of the 2011 K-124 Days Super Elite competition. With quality footage, simple yet effective editing and a decent soundtrack, it’s a great look at the action from this festival of trials.
The first part of the video features some incredible footage of Gilles Coustellier in the infamous tower section on Saturday, which he cleaned with jaw-dropping ease. This was the hardest, most spectacular section, so the ease with which he gets through is extremely impressive! We also see Benito Ros in the same section, as well as footage from the whole of the first round, the warm-up and the final.
The second part is dedicated to the final and follows Gilles Coustellier, Vincent Hermance and Benito Ros around the sections.
I hope that this video will give everyone a great souvenir of this memorable weekend. My name is Nicolas Atgé and I live in Blotzheim, Alsace. I get my passion for trials from my father (the 1984 Alsacien moto trials champion), who exposed my whole family to the sport. I have sadly had to put my unicycle trials activities on hold in order to pursue my passion for the guitar and for my band, SkyBerry (pop folk).
My brother Pierre has taken up the torch though, and is pretty good at bike trials. He is promoting trials in the East of France by putting on demos.
He also hopes to make a name for himself in competition, but his studies and lack of finances at the moment mean that he is having to hold off for the moment.
Thanks for publishing the video!
