Top Koxx rider Benito Ros was sadly unable to compete in the first big event of the season, K-124 Days, due to a complication in the tendonitis in his knee that had been the bane of his 2011 season; although it didn’t stop him winning his ninth national title, his fourth World Cup and his eighth World Champion’s jersey! Benito rides to win, and he decided not to ride at the Tour de Scay, a competition that he has already won several times, as he wasn’t at 100% and wanted to save himself for the rest of the 2012 season, for which he has big ambitions. Even though he wasn’t competing, we still got to see him training seriously on the rocks at the Tour de Scay, practicing some huge moves with his usual skill and commitment. Last weekend, he was in Italy to visit the Patrizi family. Italin Champion Paolo Pool Patrizi put together a video of Benito riding on the indoor sections in Rovallasca. It shows some spectacular riding from the Spaniard, showing that La Bestia is better than ever! Watch as he works on his precision, smoothness and style before the start of the new season! And I’m sure you’ll all join us in wishing him a 30th happy birthday as well!
