Team 3SIXTY is a trials team from the North of England, headed by Ian Drummond, a rider who has been on the scene for long enough to know what’s what. The team was officially formed in late 2009, after Ian and his friends had been performing shows around the world for sponsors and other teams for a total of eight years. After such a long time dealing with corporate clients, they started dreaming of returning to their roots and forming a team with the aim of supporting the sport that they love and promoting the trials industry. They had, in effect, come full circle, hence the name 3SIXTY.
They picked up support from Speedrace and Tarty Bikes, who provide their riders with bikes and kit, and the team now counts riders of all kinds among their numbers with demo riders, competition athletes and street riders all flying the flag. TGS monster Damon Watson has just joined the team, taking up his place alongside Ian Drummond, Brett Penfold, Craig Lambton, Alec Wray, British Cup Champion James Hyland and Kieren Whitefield.
3SIXTY aren’t just about the trials though, they’re supporters of Action For Children, offer accredited trials coaching and are a carbon neutral organisation. Right on guys!
The 3SIXTY Indoor Trials Jam
Ian and the guys have been hard at work lately, organising what is sure to be a superb event: an indoor trials jam at the Dynamix Extreme skatepark in Gateshead, where they have been busy building trials specific obstacles and sections, all of which will be fully modular.
The guys recently released a video from a session in the skatepark and partially built trials area, to give people an idea of the sort of thing that will be on offer:
