Inspired Bicycles have just launched their new range of 26" Hex bikes. Based on their famous 24" Fourplay, the Hex allows riders to benefit from compact and manoeuvrable geometry, but with the associated benefits that come with 26” wheels.

The bikes have been updated for this new range and are now available in some great new colour schemes: cherry red or apple green with colour matched forks for the Team version, and gloss grey or gloss white for the Pro version.

Inspired have also refreshed the Hex frame with updated graphics and subtle geometry changes. The top tube is now 10mm longer than on the previous version, a change that has been complemented by a reduced fork offset and shorter stem (both have been reduced by 5mm). This results in a bike that has much more responsive steering while maintaining the same ride position (your hands and feet are in the same position as on the previous model, despite the longer top tube), meaning that the Hex now feels better than ever!

At the front of the frame, an externally butted and tapered headtube provide strength and durability, further improved using external top and downtube gussets.

A one-piece bottom bracket and chainstay yoke increases strength, stiffness and also improved tyre and chainring clearance in this important area. Carefully designed pockets that the weight has been reduced significantly without compromising the robustness of the design.

The rear of the frame features the same exclusive-design seat and chainstay tubing to improve both crank and heel clearance. The short chainstays mean that the bike responds well for the bunnyhops, manuals and spins that have become synonymous with the street trials style of riding and the compact CNC machined dropouts and neat CNC gear hanger maintain the clean and stylish look of the frame, with improved weld angles and contact area helping to maximise strength.

The front of the bike features proven Inspired Team fork, Inspired rider handlebars, FSA Orbit sealed headset, Trialtech 3D forged stem, and lock-on grips. The drivetrain is built using a Truvativ Holzfeller trials crankset, super grippy Inspired Team platform pedals, KMC chain and exclusive design Trialtech chain tensioner. A custom Hope Tech-Trial front disc brake and Magura HS11 hydraulic rear rim brake give you reliable and strong braking performance in all conditions.

Up front is a Truvativ Holzfeller riser bar with Trialtech stem and FSA Orbit headset. Truvativ Holzfeller trials cranks with a KMC chain, Trialtech platform pedals and custom chain tensioner provide a tough and dependable drive set. With an Avid Elixir 5 hydraulic front disc brake and Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brake at the rear, braking is powerful but easily controlled.
