Elmar Hopperdietzel is a big name in the small German trials community, a passionate trials fan and rider who lives and breathes trials.

Now aged 54, Elmar fell in love with trials 16 years ago at the age of 38 and it has been his main hobby ever since. He has been competing for nine years in the Master category in both 20” and 26” competitions. In 1999 he uploaded Germany’s first ever website dedicated to competition trials, Elmar’s Trialpage, where he diffuses all of Germany’s competition results, and it fast became Germany’s benchmark trials site! Elmar has trials in his blood and still rides today: he takes his 26” Hoffman out twice a week and six palettes present no problem to him! His other hobby is photography and he uploads his photos to Elmar Fotodesign.

PNG - 357.2 kb Elmar was at the European Championship in Melsungen last weekend, and has shared with us his great photos from the comp. Here is a first look at some of his 26” shots which allow us to relive the highlights of the Elite Final, won by Gilles Coustellier, who retains his jersey, ahead of Kenny Belaey et Vincent Hermance ! Full results are available here: Résultats from the 2010 European Championship.
