The German Championships 2017 Trial 20“ took place in Rüsselsheim (near Frankfurt) as part of the "Hessentag" (the oldest and largest state festival in Germany). For the championships 12 spectacular sections containing logs, blocks and rocks, were built at the festival-area next to the river Main.
In the men’s Elite the favorite Dominik Oswald (Münstertal/Dorval AM Ozonys) was unbeatable. The title holder Raphael Pils missed the championships due to a knee injury. Oswald was the only rider that cleaned all sections in the final (2 rounds in three sections) . The battle for the second place was a head to head race between Matthias Mrohs (Schatthausen/Extreme Bikes Sports) and Kai Lorenz (Schmie/Bikes in Motion). After the last section Mrohs was 1 point ahead.
The women final was the next "clean" final, top favorit & title holder Nina Reichenbach (Ölbronn/Bikes in Motion/Crewcerz) was also unbeatable with zero points. In second place Larena Hees (Salzbödetal/Trinity) with 14 points and Skyla Dingwerth (Schotten) completed the podium with 22 points.
At the Juniors, Noah Sandritter (Schatthausen/Hashtagg) won the title for the first time with 7 points, followed by the title holder Jonas Friedrich (Ölbronn/Trialmarkt-Jitsie) 11 points, and local hero Felix Keitel (Schatthausen/Ozonys) in the third place with 18 points.
At the Jugend (Cadets), the next favorite, Oliver Widmann (Württemberg/Trial-World-Clean) won with just one point, in the second place Kai Hatt (Münstertal) 19 points followed by Noah Zehentner (Kiefersfelden) 20 points. The Schüler (Minimes) was won by Kai Hiebert (Stadtlohn/Bikes in Motion), second was Yannik Strauß (Schatthausen/Bikes in Motion) 8 points and third Melvin Herrmann (Ölbronn) 8 points.

Mädechen u9 (Girls u9): 1. Cora Lehmann (TSC Schönborn), 2. Lisa Frank (MSC Schatthausen).
The German 20“ Trial Team Champion is „MSC Schatthausen II“ (Dennis Arnold, Malte Engelhard, Yara Körber, Lisa Frank). Second place for „Bikes in Motion II“ (Kai Lorenz, Nina Reichenbach, Yannik Strauß, Wolfgang Wenzel), and third place for „Bikes in Motion I“ (Mario Weidler, Luis Tredup, Kai Hiebert, Tobias Nehler).
