YMSA Biketrials, who have been inactive for the past 18 months are back on the scene for 2010. Having stopped running competitions in 2008 due to lack of support, the Butler family, who took over control of the YMSA series a few years ago, have been working hard to put on a series of competitions around Britain.
YMSA Round 1 - Bracken Rocks, Derbyshire, 2nd May 2010
The first of these events will be taking place this Sunday (2nd May) at Bracken Rocks near Whatstandwell, Derbyshire. The competition will be run to UCI rules and is open to riders of all abilities. There is already an impressive list of confirmed riders that features some of the UK’s hottest talent, including Danny Butler, Joe Oakley, Ben Slinger, Rick Eyre, Sam Oliver and Adam Morewood.
Online and postal entries for this event are unfortunately now closed, but Dave Butler informs us that entries on the day will be accepted, so download the entry form (click below) and get along!
YMSA Super Trial – Becketts Farm, Birmingham, 11th July 2010
The next event in the series is a Super Trial type event that will be held at Becketts Farm in Birmingham. This is an event aimed not only at riders but at the general public, so expect spectacular sections with man-made obstacles galore and plenty of people watching! Entry is open to top level riders and there are only 25 places, most of which have been filled. If you’ve never seen a Super Trial event, get yourself over to Birmingham on the 11th July and check it out!
