The final round of the British Trials Cup took place on Sunday 23rd October at Shipley Glen in Yorkshire, and it was a fantastic day for all involved, especially the UK Tribal Zine Trials Team riders! There was a Tribal Zine shirt on almost every podium, and we’re exceptionally proud of our team, who have had an excellent season and represented us fantastically! Thanks guys!
Jack ‘Clean Machine’ Carthy bounded through the sections in the Elite 26” final, dropping just one point on each of his two laps to take the win and the overall victory in the British Trials Cup, adding the trophy to his ever more impressive collection, which includes this year’s UCI Cadet World Cup!

James Hyland finished second in the final, just nine points behind Jack on 11. This meant that he finished third overall in the Cup, handing the trophy over to his long-time protégé Jack with a smile.

Dave Kerr managed the impressive feat of finishing first in the Elite 20” final, handing his ticket in and immediately rushing off to ride the sections on his 26” to finish third in the Elite 26” final as well! These excellent results meant that Dave finished on second place in the 26” series and third in the 20” series – well done Dave!

Jamie Bew took the win in the Expert 20” final, which saw him take the overall victory as well, topping off a great season with podiums in nearly every competition.
Charlie Rolls, having won nearly every competition that he’s entered this season, both at home and abroad (he was crowned 2011 BIU World Champion, as well as all of his national victories), finished first in Intermediate class in the final round after not dropping a single dab, despite only needing a top five finish to take the overall victory. He was at the top of both podiums at the end of the day, another national title under his tiny belt!

Sam Rolls had it a bit tougher, needing to win the final round to ensure the overall victory. No need to worry though, as he did it with ease, cruising through the sections to come in on clean and take the top spot in both the final and the overall series.

Well done to all of our riders for their excellent performances this season; here’s to a restful winter and a successful 2012!
