The 2009 Ozonys range looks pretty good. The new Cannibal, presented to us by Bruno Arnold at the end of last year (Ozonys Cannibal 2009) sets itself apart from its peers by its technical innovations: its geometry is extremely adjustable, the chain tensioning system is truly innovative and the whole frame has been redesigned to give a bike that is lighter but at the same time stronger (the headtube has been lightened internally, the BB has been lightened, the tube thicknesses have been recalculated, there’s a CNC machined booster, etc.). The paint job also sets it apart, with the basic model mixing fluro green, black and white to give the frame a factory look. The new “dark” version, which borrows its colour scheme from the Cannibal clothing range, is just as good-looking. This is actually the model that will be first on the market. Bruno Arnold tells us about it below…

Here are the details of the “basic” version. At just 9.4kg (which makes it one of the lightest bikes on the market), the Black Cannibal comes with the new Ozonys forks (740g). It has been successfully tested by the two best riders on the Ozonys Team 1, Guillaume Dunand & Bruno Arnold himself, and is looking good so far! Last but not least, the price of this new bike is just €1850 ( £1600), which is very competitive for a bike of this calibre!

Bruno Arnold tells us about the Ozonys Revolution…
The first trump card is the adjustable geometry that the frames have, which mean that you can change the geo of your bike without changing frame! Basically, all you have to do is put the rear wheel in one of three positions in order to change the geo of the whole bike. These positions affect the chainstay length, the wheelbase, the BB height and the head angle. The three available geometries are:
1084 - 377 - 35 - 71°
1085 - 378 - 40 - 71.5°
1086 - 380 - 45 - 72°
The chain tensioning system is a complete innovation, as it is completely protected by the chainstay. Chain tension is ajustiable and the chain line sets itself thanks to sloding rollers in the tensioner!
The frame weighs in at 1.75kg and with its internally lightened head tube, lightend BB, recalculated tube thicknesses and CNC machined integrated booster, everything has been done to combine strength and lightness!
