The Canadians behind Meta Bike have made this video of the Elite 26" semi-final of the World Championships in Mont Sainte-Anne. The footage is pretty much unedited, but the quality is OK. There are more than 20 minutes of clips, focusing mostly on the exploits of the rider who surprised us all, Canadian John Webster, who managed to qualify alongside the best riders in the world on his Rockman Kortz II. John distinguished himself in China last year, becoming the Bike Trial Senior Vice-World Champion. Perhaps that’s why he performed so well in the semi-final, the sections looked very BIU, we certainly weren’t expecting sections like this in a UCI World Championship! You will also see Koxx rider Vincent Hermance and Atomz rider Marc Caisso (who would also create a bit of a stir on Sunday by winning the bronze medal!) in action.
