This weekend Courtrai played host to the fourth edition of Velofollies, a must-go-to Belgian event for all bike lovers, whether it be BMX, trials, MTB or road cycling that you’re into. Every year Kenny & Wesley Belaey have put on a series of shows and in 2008 there was even a World Cup round held there (won by Gilles Coustellier), and an international competition was held in 2009 (won by Vincent Hermance).
This year there were no competitions, but the shows did go on! Jean-Pierre Kohut, alias Jipéka, went along on the Sunday, ostensibly to take his son to the BMX indoor comp, but he also managed to meet up with and photograph 2009 World Cup winner and UCI No.1 seed Kenny Belaey, who was riding on the Sunday with young Belgian Elite rider Andy Maschelin, his brother Wesely being in Hoogerheiden working for Safety Jogger. Both were riding the new Kamel XXV. Following on from the show photos, here is a series of photos of their new Kamel XXVs, from all angles! Definitely one of the most striking bikes of the year!
