Aurélien Fontenoy is the No. 1 rider in the Rhône-Alps region, a title which he defended to the hilt this year, winning the recent Rhône-Alps Elite Championship. He is also one of the best riders in the world; in 2007 he won both Junior world titles (20" & 26") at Fort William, and had a great season as a part of the Atomz team: he put in a brilliant performance at the second round of the World Cup in Heubach, finishing fourth, ahead of Giacomo Coustellier and Marc Caisso! All this did not happen by chance, as Aurélien explained: “I’ve just come out of a hard winter’s training and I’m more motivated than ever. I’m really happy with the start of my season and I hope to continue in the same way!” Aurélien went on to finish fourth in the European Championship in Zoertemeer and sixth in the Canberra World Championship.
Aurélien has entered a new phase of winter preparation for 2010, this time on an Inpulse R26. As you know, Aurélien has been riding for his brother’s new company for a couple of months now. Cédric Fontenoy has been developing his own bikes for a few years now, which we presented in the interview Cédric Fontenoy & his SX_Supercross and the article SX Supercross Evo 3.2, and had long talked about launching his own brand. His bike is now fully developed and Cédric decided to realise his dream, with his brother as the shock ambassador for his new brand, which will soon have a team of 26" and 20" riders. The brand will have two models in its catalogue: the R26, which the Fontenoy brothers are already using, and the R20 (see the article Inpulse Racing Bikes). The two brothers invite you to join their factory team (Season’s greetings & 2010 sponsorship from Inpulse). The bikes will arrive at the start of the year and you can keep up with the brand’s development on their Facebook group!
