The Biketrial season began on Saturday 24th April in Italy with the opening round of the European Cup, which took place in Castiglioncello, Tuscany. Tribal Zine was on hand for a bit of riding and to cover the event!

Spaniard Javi Alonso took the lead in the Elite European Cup, finishing three points ahead of of young Czech rider David Herka and BIU Italian Champion Paolo Patrizi. Tribal riders Thomas Francisco and Ambrogio Chessa finished in fourth and eighth place respectively in Elite.


Czech rider Pavel Prochazka is leading the Senior European Cup Senior, ahead of German Super Trialshow riders Sebastian Hopfe and Thomas Helbig.
In Junior, Slovak Ladislav Janoska finished in first place, just one point ahead of our Belgian super-rider Pierre-Charles Thomas and two ahead of Martin Kakac (Czech Republic).
In Minime Czech rider Vojtech Kriva took the win, coming in seven points ahead of Italians Andrea Riva (10) and Alesio Pavolo (16).
In the Benjamin competition, the phenomenal Louis Grillon, who did not concede a single point in the whole competition, took the win ahead of Maxime Sintzen (Belgium) with 20 Michal Pavlik (Czech Republic) with 21!
Poussin saw a fierce battle for the top spot, with the top three riders all finishing on zero and having to be separated on time… British riders Charlie Rolls and Adam Morewood took the top two spots with Belgian Belge Romain Léonard on the third step of the podium.
In the Feminine category, Czech riders Marie Krivova and Andrea Kabicka took first and second with Belgian Maurine Sintzen in third.
