Singapore trials brand Rockman, distributed in France by our partner Trialprod, has settled into the trials market well, despite only being in its second year of existence ! Two years ago, for instance, they only had their brake pads, the famous Rockpads, in their catalogue. Now however, they produce a large range of frames and components in their own factory in Singapore which are among the best on the market.
We have exclusively unveiled the photos of the new 2010 Rockman bikes over the last few months. They are now constructed from U6 Aluminium in the brands new factory in Singapore :
The Rockman Slate II, ridden by top UK rider Ben Savage, now has a headtube that has been cut away at the sides rather than at the front, and its rear end has been redesigned to improve stiffness. It has a new anodised finish, for weight, aesthetics and strength, and is available in two colours, orange or green.
Next, the Rockman Manus & Aurem III... The Aurem, a long and high 20”, designed for UCI riding, has been improved yet again : It retains the Asian art graphics, but is now anodised like the 26” models and the frame, made from U6 Aluminium, is even lighter. A new 20” model has joined the ranks too ; the Manus, which is a bit shorter than the Aurem (1005mm), also has an anodised finish and a laterally machined headtube like the Slate II !
Finall the Rockman Akali... This new model, available in anodised black or matty grey has original graphics and the same headtube as the Manus. Unlike the other 20” models, it is HS 33 only and has the same booster as the Slate II. Its geo is short and high.
