Top Koxx rider Vincent Hermance has been followed throughout the 2010 season by his coach Franck Martini, and the Parisian rider went to live in Istres in the South of France to follow a tough physical, mental and technical training programme. This undeniably allowed him to stay at his best, even if he didn’t manage to halt the progress of the machine Coustellier, who was untouchable all season until Mont Sainte-Anne. An unfortunate injury stopped Vincent in his tracks in Mont Sainte-Anne, putting paid to his ambitions (Supermance before Mont Sainte-Anne).
Supermance in 2011, with or without Martini ? Vincent suggested in our interview with him before the worlds that the birth of his baby would, logically, mean that he would be spending more time in the north and with his family, but he didn’t know exactly how he was going to organise it. In our latest interview, he told us to ask him again in a couple of weeks (Vincent Hermance after Mont Sainte-Anne). We learned today on the K-124 Performance blog that the two men would be continuing their collaboration, but in another form… Vincent is returning to the rocks of the Paris region.
Good news for the Tribal Zine team! “Work will be done over the internet and in various training days in Istres. Vince will also have the use of the "K-124 garage", a warehouse-cum-training room where we will be able to hold training sessions, which will be much harder than this year, and we’ll be rethinking the techniques a bit”.
