After the 26” frames ISIS and the SLATE that we covered in the following articles : Les nouveaux cadres Rockman chez Trialprod, Un Rockman Isis 2009 à 9,15 kilos !, Le nouveau Rockman Slate and Crash-test du Rockman Slate, Rockman are launching the « Kortz », developed by Samuel Neil Armstrong, a very nice guy located in Singapore and owner of Rockman Bikes, a brand made by a trials rider FOR trials riders.
The Kortz will be available from Trialprod in June. Its geometry is a bit more "extreme" than previous models, similar to that of the Black Sky ridden by Vincent Hermance, with a high BB and a long wheel base. This new frame will be available in 2 colors : green or orange and the originality is that the gradient shown on the drawing is not obtained with paint, but with anodisation, which has never been done before on a trials frame. To our knowledge, this is the first time that a gradient is anodised. The result is a very nice look and weight saving compared to a paint job. The chain tension is applied by a very smart concept with a TPA wheel adjusting system, a system that we only saw before on the Caelifera american bikes (Caelifera, made in the USA).
