In competition trials it is not uncommon to see small riders with big talent. We’re all familiar with Louis Grillon, Gerard Trueba, the Rolls brothers and Adam Morewood, who are all international podium regulars, Watching the skill of Gerard Trueba in Piera, Charlie Rolls at Barrow Farm or the Grillontosaure at Buthiers must have the current Elite riders worried!
But we hadn’t seen any really street riders of such a young age. Until now that is… This phenomenal rider is called Matty Turner, and he is an incredible street rider in the mould of Danny Mac. At just 12 years old, this young rider from Reading who rides an Onza MiniMaster has already got an impressive level of technical ability and a trick repertoire that would leave many riders twice his age wanting, including 360s and nose wheelies! He rides with Jack Meek, one of the better known street riders in the UK, who is just as impressed as us with the young lad’s talent: “it’s incredible to film Matty and he generally only needs one take to nail the line that he wants to do!” Matty is really passionate about his sport and lives and breathes street trials: “I ride my bike every day and love to ride, I never get bored. My inspirations are Danny and Jack and when I’m older I’d love to ride my bike as my job!” Here are Matty’s latest videos. We’re sure there’ll be more and we can’t wait to see them! We’re already big fans here at Tribal Zine HQ!
