Louis Grillon should really need no introduction. This tiny Koxx and Tribal Rider has more trophies than his young age would suggest. 11 year old Louis is a member of the Cerny Trials Club and is no stranger to the podium, be they local, national or international. The 2008 Biketrial European Champion and 2009 UCI World Champion (both in Poussin) had a great start to 2010, winning the R2 category at K-124 days (his third K-124 Days victory). He then went on to win competitions on the Ufolep, FFC, BEU and UCI circuits. His 2010 achievements, in order, are: Inter-Régionale Ouest de VTT-Trial S1 Champion, National Ufolep Benjamin Champion, FFC French Cup winner in Jeune (youth) category, third place in R2 in the French Championship (he was the youngest rider to enter!),
EBU European Cup Champion and UCI Vice World Champion (both in Benjamin). He already has the makings of a great rider – the trophies, the skills and the charisma! Always with a smile on his face, Louis is a real trials fanatic who could talk about his sport for hours. In actual fact, he could go on forever if you didn’t stop him and his classmates at school all know plenty about the sport thanks to Louis, who has told and shown them all about it!
Here is the first full video form this young prodigy, filmed at a few end-of-season training sessions on the Buthiers rocks. It is a promotional video for his numerous sponsors, filmed by Alex, a filmmaker who hails form the world of BMX and who already has a few great productions to his name. He has been converted to trials and this is his first production on the subject, but it definitely won’t be the last! It features some magnificent images of Louis and a soundtrack by High Tone, one of the leading lights of the French electro-dub scene.
Louis dedicates this video to his mentor Tom Francisco, 2009 European Champion and 2009 European Cup Senior Champion, 2010 Bike Trial Elite French Champion and FFC 2010 Expert French Champion, and would like to thank all of his sponsors, who have allowed him to live his dream: Koxx, Try-All, Wouise, Kerozen, Skins, Trial Mag’, TC Cerny and Tribal Zine, of course! If you would like to sponsor Louis for the 2011 season, do not hesitate to get in touch at mail.
