Tribal Zine is the number one online trials magazine, uniting riders from Europe and the rest of the world, from the grass roots riders to the great champions. This website, “by riders, for riders”, is the spiritual son of a printed magazine that was very popular in France during the 90s, the famous Journal du Trial. Among the riders who bear our colours are the last man to manage the trials Grand Slam, winning the Spanish, European and World Championships and the World Cup, Benito Ros, 2007 World Champion, current French No. 2 and World No. 3, Vincent Hermance, as well as many other great riders from the worlds of bike and moto trials.
Another of the great champions recently joined our ranks, to our great pleasure: Monty rider Kenny Belaey himself, the standard bearer of our sport and multi-title holder is now a Tribal Rider! Proud owner of a new rainbow jersey (his fourth world Elite title), which he won with style in Canada, the Belgian rider has also gained the attention of the world media. While Red Bull’s Danny MacAskill causes a sensation on the internet with his sensational street videos, Kenny is taking trials, in all its forms, to the television. For Kenny, street and competition/natural are inseparable and complementary parts of our sport. He shows this in a series of fantastic documentaries on trials, in collaboration with Extreme TV, in which Kenny talks about trials, the history of the sport and his heroes, in front of millions of viewers. The latest episode was filmed in South Africa last year, where Kenny met up with Greg Minaar (Kenny Belaey in South Africa). He also appeared on our TV and computer screens alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Derrick Rose, Katy Perry and B.o.B in a huge advertising campaign launched by his sponsor Adidas (Kenny Belaey in the new Adidas advert!/Kenny is all in)... Another first and another big step forward for our sport!
At a recent competition in Poitiers, Tribal Zine gave Kenny a new outfit ! We presented him with some Tribal Zine shirts made especially for him by our partner Kerozen / Roc Sport. He put one on straight away and we did an impromptu photo shoot on the spectacular Super Elite sections, with showing off his immense skill and his equal humility and good humour. Thanks Kenny, for the recognition that you’ve brought out sport and our community; it’s an honour to have you on board! Keep up the great work!
A mini shirt for a great man!
