Each year, Tribal Zine enlists the help of a young talent to offer you a slightly different perspective on the K-124 Days festival. Last year it was German Nico Bahro who took on the photography duties for us and he produced some brilliant images. This year we had an Italian with us: Mattia Slaifer, a passionate sports photographer from Rovereto, had already proved that he had wjat it takes with his photos of Léo Nobile, which show off his talent and style. He has sent us a great selection of photos from K-124 Days 2011, including some interesting portrait shots.
Gilles Coustellier, who once again seemed untouchable on these K-124 Days 2011 !
Supermance rode very strongly at K-124 Days and gave it his all to keep up with Gilles Coustellier. On the second day he managed an incredible run, just one point behind Gilles. He was watched through the sections by none other than his (and our) childhood idol, Marc Vinco!
Giacomo Coustellier impressed once again in the warm-up and during the competition with his legendary power. On the first day he made a few mistakes, pushing him into fourth place in Super Elite, and the next day he racked up the fives before abandoning the competition altogether, blaming a technical problem.
Benito Ros, last year’s winner, wasn’t on form this year and in a competition where even the tiniest mistake counts, had to make do with third place, despite the support of the crowds.

Guillaume Dunand, the 2010 Elite winner, moved up to Super Elite this year, finishing in fourth place on the monstrous sections after a spectacular performance.
German Champion Hannes Hermann also decided to try his hand at the Super Elite sections in order to push himself and see where he was at the start of this new season, for which he has big ambitions!

Arriving late on the Saturday, Italian Francesco Policante only rode on the Sunday (after spending much of Saturday night in a local night club!) and tested himself in the Super Elite category.

A Tribal Rider in the Elite sections… Our tester Tom Francisco finished in 14th place. The second day was very trying for him, but he powered through, even managing to finish the fountain section with a puncture… good work!
Italian Champion Paolo Patrizi finished in ninth place on his ‘debadged’ Monty Kamel.
Local boy Marius Merger, Junior World Championship bronze medallist, finished eleventh in Elite.
A leap of faith in the tower section!
Three photos by Alessio Gaffuri, another trials/photography lover and Mattia’s assistant for the weekend.

A portrait of our video-maker Marcus Gelhard (Gpoint), who is working on the official K-124 Days video, coming soon!
