Many of us remember Tribal Rider James Hyland as the man behind Trials Kings. He produced a series of groundbreaking and inspirational videos starring amongst others, Trials Kings riders Danny Holroyd, Dave Finney, Adam Burns and James himself, which many still rank among their favourite ever trials videos. Since calling it a day with Trials Kings, James has been concentrating on his studies and his riding, honing his already impressive skills and competing nationally and internationally. In 2010 he won the British Trials Cup in Elite 26”.
James is currently injured and unable to ride, so has taken some time out and has been minding Jack Carthy (Tribal Zine/Koxx/Tarty Bikes at various competitions and training sessions. He has been extremely impressed with Jack’s riding, saying that “Jack may be the best pure trials rider the world will ever see. People need to appreciate him”.
While accompanying Jack on various training sessions around Yorkshire (at Ilkley Moor, Addingham Moorside, Brimham Rocks, etc.), James took the opportunity to get some of the young prodigy’s riding on film. The result is this little gem of a video, which really shows of the control, power and precision in Jack’s riding, showing exactly why he is the most talked about rider on the UK competition circuit and reminding us of James’ talent for making videos.
