Danny MacAskill, the 23 year old street sensation from Edinburgh who rides forInspired Bicycles, brought the sport into a whole new dimension in April with his incredible video Danny MacAskill - Avril 2009. With this video, Danny brought trial to a massive audience the likes it had never had before, on the internet (Danny MacAskill, Star du Web) and on television screens world wide! It has been watched more than 7.5 million times on Youtube alone! He also recently starred in a music video for Doves that was shown on MTV - a first for trials(La saga MacAskill continue !).
Danny brought out a new video at the start of September. We don’t know how we missed it, but we did - sorry about that! Our only excuse is that we’d all been on holiday and had a lot to sort out when we came back... This video is just as impressive as the one in April! It’s a proffesionally edited advert for Scottish recruitment site s1job.com. It was originally a 60 second ad, but this is the whole video: 4 and a half minutes of pure joy, set to the soundtrack of "Music is Barriers" by Aereogramme, a group from Glasgow). The moves are shot on several cameras on the streets of Edinburgh and Danny links together street and trials moves with his trademark ease, in trousers and a shirt and tie! He pulls of 360s, tailwhips, nose wheelies and of course, his famous tree flair!
