The Tribal Team groups together some of the world’s greatest riders under the banner of your No. 1 biketrials news and information site. It includes Elite World Champions like Benito Ros, Kenny Bealey and Vincent Hermance, as well as many grass roots riders who are the future of the sport. One of the World Champions that we are proud to count among our number is 9 year old Charlie Rolls (BIU World Bike Trial Poussin Champion 2010, BIU British Poussin Champion 2010, British Cup Champion, Novice 2010). Sponsored by MRS, Monty and Tribal Zine, Charlie is an extremely talented young lad who loves nothing more than getting out on his trials bike (a custom Monty 207).
He is a keen competitor and attends, along with his brother Sam (another talented member of the Tribal Team) every competition that he can (and usually wins them!). At the weekend, Charlie won the Intermediate competition in the British Championship and the 2nd round of the British Cup at Fort William and Sam took the victory in Novice class in both events.
Charlie’s mum has put together this fantastic video of Charlie at a recent training session at Barrow Farm in Essex (where next month’s RadFest festival will be held). In it, Charlie demonstrates the balance, precision and bravery that make his riding so good – he pulls of some lines that riders twice his age and with twice his experience would be proud of. An Elite World Champion in the making! Look out for Charlie at any of the trials competitions throughout the UK and Europe this year, or at the Cambourne Youth Festival on the 9th July, where he and Sam will be performing trials demos.
