The first round of the British National Trial Cup, organised by the Biketrial Federation UK and sponsored this year by Onza Bikes, took place this Sunday at Bracken rocks in Derbyshire. It was a tough day, but the sun was shining and everyone was in high spirits as they set off at 11am.
The competition was set over seven sections, most of which were towards the top of the hill, and riders had to complete three laps. The sections, which had been set out the day before by riders’ parents and committee members, were long and hard, with a mixture of technical passages and relentless big moves for the Expert and Elite riders. This, combined with the sweltering heat, meant big scores all round and a lot of tired riders!
