Trials has gone through some changes over the last ten year: it’s become a top-level professional sport. And it’s not just in the Elite competitions that you can see this; even the youngest competitors train hard and some even have trainers and precise goals. The Grillontosaure, who took a Poussin world title in 2009 is a prime example.
Here is a video that shows this change perfectly. Produced by Global TV, it is dedicated to two gifted young Spaniards, Bernat and Marc Seuba, who train with their coach… César Cañas! A very friendly rider and a legend on the trials circuit, Cesar has won 11 World Champion titles, the last of which was in 2007 (Master), and runs a trials school in Barcelona (the César Cañas Trials Academy). All this and he still manages to be very involved in the development of Monty and continues to promote the brand at numerous events.
In this video report we see Cesar following two young Spanish prodigies. At just 14 years old, Bernard Seubat already has two world titles under his belt; he is this years Minime European Champion and Vice-World Champion. He also created a bit of a stir on the UCI circuit, winning the title of Minime Vice-World Champion at the 2009 World Youth Games. Marc finished in seventh place in the BIU Benjamin European Championship and World Championship. We expect to hear a lot more about these two lads in the future! Here’s how they train…
