The dates and provisional venues for the 2011 Tyke Trials club championship have been announced.
As is tradition, the series opens in March at everyone’s favourite venue Shipley Glen. There are six more club rounds throughout Yorkshire and Lancashire, with the final round taking place in November to close the season. In addition to these 7 dates, the annual two day trial will be held at Brimham Rocks in June. This is normally a great club event, with fun events, contests, speed trials and a ‘traditional’ trial, followed by barbequeues, beers, camping and fun and the awards ceremony for the previous season. This season is rumoured to be a little different however, and there is talk of opening the event up to non-members and running a team trial (teams of four with one rider from each class – white/green, blue, red/black, yellow). Keep an eye on the Tyke Trial website for more details as they are announced.
